Job Description

Embark on a career-defining journey as a Human Resources Generalist with our thriving team! We are seeking a seasoned professional to play a pivotal role in fostering a positive, compliant, and engaging work environment. 

You will be part of creating a dynamic culture and work on a team that collaborates and has the desire to raise the bar. You will help oversee all Team Member Service’s functions.

  • Provide guidance and support to management and HR partners on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary actions and performance management.
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee concerns. 
  • Gather and analyze evidence, interview relevant parties, and document findings in a comprehensive and objective manner.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with employment laws, government agencies, and company policies and procedure (e.g. Occupational Safety and Health Act., Equal Employment Opportunity, Wage and Hour, Affirmative Action, employee records administration, etc.). Conduct annual HR compliance/standards self-audit.
  • Assist with leave programs such as FMLA, PLOA, Workers Compensation, etc.
  • Assist with benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, team member assistance, and related educational programs.
  • Handle team member/manager concerns/questions regarding benefits, payroll, vacation/sick time, leaves of absence, & administrative/clerical duties related to Team Member Services administration.
  • Assist in preparing team member separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Plan, organize, and execute various employee engagement events and activities. 
  • Create company-wide celebrations, team building exercises, and wellness initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of previous Human Resources experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years hospitality management experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment laws, FMLA/ADA, disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members and guests in an attentive and service-oriented manner.
