Job Description

As the Special Projects II you will have the capacity to move from one construction disciple to another where demands require. You have will also have the ability to design and read plans or renderings to achieve desired objectives.

As Special Projects you will:

  • Knowledge and experience in building materials
  • Intermediate to excellent electrical skills and basic plumbing knowledge
  • Basic to intermediate masonry skills
  • Builds forms and pours concrete
  • Cuts out and patches asphalt
  • Removes and/or installs paver bricks, barbecue grills, etc.
  • Digs trenches
  • Operates heavy equipment such as front-end loader, forklift, and related equipment
  • Installs and repairs fencing and barriers
  • Participates in major clean-up projects such as lakefront, storm damage, etc.
  • Operates chainsaw
  • Any other construction projects not covered by contractors
  • Cleans up the work area and leave it in a neat, safe condition
  • Must always adhere to all safety requirements and use the proper PPE
  • Sets up and uses ladders and/or scaffolding, as well as boom and scissor lifts
  • Ability to assist all other trades when needed.
  • Drive golf carts and company-tagged vehicles as per policy
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core values:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the construction or renovation industry
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license to drive company golf carts
