Job Description

General Summary Of Duties:

Manages, directs, schedules and supervise the poker room operations. Implements and administers Poker Room policies and procedures established by the Casino Operations management. Seeks to drive business to the Poker Room, making it welcoming and guest service orientated.  Supervise employees to accomplish customer service and satisfaction goals. Be competent in working all positions in order to train and assist with problem solving. Insure transactions are done correctly to safeguard Westgate assets. Complete all shift paperwork. Insure compliance with gaming regulations. Analyze facts in disputes to determine solutions within guidelines for guest satisfaction. 

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

1.        Supervise and protect all games, ensuring all rules and regulations are being followed.

2.        Administer department policies and transactions accurately, correctly and timely.

3.        Verify all paperwork pertinent to the job.

4.        Respond to guest and team member inquiries professionally and timely.  Provide guest satisfaction at all times.

5.        Supervise (and counsel when appropriate) employees to accomplish superior customer service and satisfaction.

6.        Review, analyze and report all Poker Room financial reports and budgets for accuracy and timely reporting.

7.        Communicate and consult with the Vice President of Casino Operations in ways to stimulate business levels and increase head count.

8.        Suggest, create and implement marketing promotions, including providing analytical feedback to the Vice President of Casino Operations.

Qualifications

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)

Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ascertain and document important information, to follow written and/or verbal instructions and to provide clear direction/guidance, sometimes revising procedures to accommodate unusual situations. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to staff. Assign and JOB instruct all personnel in details of work. Observe performance and encourage improvement. Monitor workload and make staffing adjustments accordingly. Ability to deal with a number of problems requiring initiative and good judgment. Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for other employees. Resolve complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and the most effective solutions. 

Experience Requirements

1.        At least 3 years poker manager/supervisor experience.

2.        Basic mathematical skills necessary to verify/balance reports and perform simple calculations.

3.        Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.

4.        Supervise all staff including: selection, training, counseling & discipline.

5.        Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.

6.        Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.

7.        Ability to manage rating system that is provided.

8.        Schedule and maintain proper game spread.

9.        Willingness to adapt to direction that may be contrary to your previous knowledge or experience.

10.     Handle and manage cash and chips.

11.     Ability to manage tournaments, web page and in-house communication thereof.
