Job Description

General Summary Of Duties:

 

Identify guests who have utilized valet parking by maintaining parking stubs.  Greet guest and request their potion of the parking stub. Hand parking stub to parking attendant to retrieve guest vehicle.

 

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

  1. Identify guests who valet parked, greet the guest and request their portion of parking stub.
  2. Detach and give guest the numbered portion of stub. 
  3. Instruct    guest to retain stub and surrender it when they wish to retrieve their vehicle.
  4. Maintain parking stubs in the order they were received, to assure that vehicles are retrieved on a first come, first served basis.
  5. Giving parking stubs to Lead Parking Attendant.
  6. Assist guest by answering any and all questions.

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)

  1. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to comprehend management, employee and guest verbal and written requests.
  2. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in case of emergency situations and to read caution and/or safety notices.
  3. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance.
  4. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete production requirements and communicate with management, other employees and guests.
  5. Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language clearly to ascertain and document important information, to follow written and/or verbal instructions and to provide clear direction and guidance. 
  6. Social skills as demonstrated by the ability to deal with internal/external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve problems and concerns.
  7. Social skills as demonstrated by the ability to listen and respond to management, employee and guest concerns/inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice, answering questions and/or offering assistance giving accurate information regarding plans, policy or procedures within guidelines.
  8. Respond to guest inquiries.  Provide guest satisfaction through assistance, direction and information within hotel guidelines.
  9. Listen & respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice, answer questions and offer assistance giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, other hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
  10. Ability to work in unfavorable conditions which (occasionally) be hot, cold, wet and noisy.
  11. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  12. Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
  13. Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.

 

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  1. Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  2. Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification.  [Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Non-Gaming Work Permit; Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Gaming Work Permit; Clark County Health Card; Alcohol Awareness Certificate; Valid Driver's License]

Typical physical / mental demands

 

  1. Ability to move and work throughout the driveway for the duration of the shift.
  2. Ability to walk/stand and work 85% of shift walking a maximum of 5 miles.
  3. Ability to remain alert throughout the duration of shift and remain calm during emergency situations.
