Job Description

General Summary Of Duties:

Process accounts receivable billing statements utilizing various types of office equipment, to receive payment for hotel services. 

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

Send group and individual billing of accounts receivable statements daily, using calculator, typewriter, computer keyboard and copy machine.
Research, calculate and adjust errors on billing statements using calculator, typewriter, computer and copy machine.
Respond to guest inquiries.  Provide guest satisfaction through assistance, direction and/or information within Hotel guidelines.
Communicate with supervisor throughout shift with regard to job/break assignments and for directions/instructions.

Qualifications

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language sufficient to alphabetize, process billing statements and communicate with guests to explain statements and billing procedures.
Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions from written and computer generated materials.
Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner.  This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing positive and proactive solutions.
Ability to operate adding machines, typewriters and computer keyboards to process billing statements.
Ability to listen effectively, read, write, speak and understand the English language clearly to ascertain and document important information, to follow written and/or verbal instructions, to communicate with other employees, all levels of management and external contacts.
Ability to understand verbal English in the event of emergency situations.
Ability to understand written English to read any caution or safety notices.
Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
