Job Description

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

  1. Coordinates and manages the Monthly Safety Committee in compliance with Company Safety policies and state and regulatory requirements of OSHA.
  2. Participates in New Hire Orientation outlining Safety programs, training segments and outlining Work Compensation role to team members.
  3. Performs weekly Safety inspections of the property or as needed when potential safety hazard is located.
  4. Manages Workers Compensation claims and Light Duty Program.
  5. Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares JHA reports identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and management
  6. Coordinates COVID tracking and compliance as needed.
  7. Coordinates and/or performs Safety training for team members in compliance with OSHA requirements.
  8. Coordinates and manages the Respirator, Asbestos, and all Safety Training programs for team members and any other required program to maintain compliance with OSHA requirements.
  9. Operates a computer to enter, retrieve, review or modify data in computer database; verifies accuracy of entered data; makes corrections; uses knowledge of various software programs to operate a computer in an effective and efficient manner.
  10. Processes a variety of documentation associated with departmental operations, per established procedures and within designated time frames; distributes documentation or retains records.
  11. Advises Regional Director of Risk Management of safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
  12. Other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

Experience  Requirements

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Managers, clients, customers and general public.

Must have acceptable current driver's license.

Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision and multiple interruptions, exercise judgment and adapt instructions/directions from one assignment Answer the multi-line telephone and provide information as needed. Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.

Bi-Lingual preferred.
