The Landscape Spray Technician should be a leader and have a good working knowledge of insect, disease, and weed identification and control, be safety oriented and responsible with the environment.

Duties:

• Identifying, diagnosing, and treating turf and ornamental issues as they arise
• Applying fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides as needed to lawns, shrubs, and plant material in accordance with accepted industry practices, safety procedures, label instructions, and rules and requirements of various Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies
• Preparing and mixing products according to label instructions and product specifications, and using in accordance with prescribed safety precautions and directions
• Calibrate equipment periodically to ensure precise applications
• Proactively participates in procurement and inventory process to ensure materials and tools are on-site for work
• Ability to effectively operate operations devices & software (HotSOS) by communicating professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal communications
• Must be able to work independently and with minimal to no supervision or support.
• Must represent CFI in a professional manner through appearance, dress, and professional behavior at all times, as dictated in the Team Member’s Handbook
• Must work diligently to gain knowledge and experience to execute their role to its full potential
• Other duties as assigned by Corporate Facilities leadership including but limited to assisting the landscaping team when spray work is completed

To perform this job successfully, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core values:

Requirements:

• Possess a valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
• Experience as a spray technician 3-5 years
• Ability to direct work, train, and give feedback as needed
• Able to communicate in English
• Ability to read and understand pesticide/fertilizer labels and SDS sheets
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., walk for extended periods, work in the heat, and perform other duties associated with the position
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions if it’s safe
• Punctual in reporting to work
• Prior experience with a Z-Spray is a plus
