Job Description

Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance projects, work orders, and preventative maintenance in corporate buildings and other properties and grounds as instructed by Facilities Maintenance leadership.
  • Communicates proactively regarding maintenance issues, processes and resolutions.
  • Proactively participates in procurement and inventory process to ensure materials and tools are on-site for work.
  • Basic understanding of how electrical systems operate and how to install, troubleshoot, repair and replace equipment as applicable in resort operations such as lighting systems and fixtures, in-unit fixtures like ceiling fans, breakers, ballasts switches, GFCI’s, receptacles, bulbs, mechanical equipment, HVAC-R, appliances and F&B equipment amongst others in voltage ranging from 110V to 480V/3Phase with correct grounding, support and components to meet code standards.
  • Ability to effectively operate resort operations devices & software (HotSOS) by communicating professionally through radios, phones, emails and verbal communications.
  • Basic ability to read & interpret blueprints, technical data and O&M manuals.
  • Perform custodial and maintenance duties, as required by facilities maintenance leadership.
  • Ability to reset or troubleshoot breakers, ballasts, switches, GFCI’s, receptacles, bulbs and other electrical fixtures.
  • Ability to work with high & low voltage systems.
  • Ability in the installation of EMT electrical conduit, MC cable and other wiring materials along with their respective fittings, supports and wiring as necessary to meet code standards.
  • Ability to work with low voltage systems ranging from 12V through 24V by installing controls, t-stats, transformers, switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels amongst others.
  • Must have the ability to recognize and resolve potential hazards in the property.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, electrical and battery powered tools and any other pertinent tool required by the job.
  • Ability to work using of ladders, scaffolds, lifts, dust masks and work in confined/tight spaces.
  • Must have the ability to follow safety guidelines/practices and recognize and identify potential hazards in the property.
  • Ability to communicate and interpret guest needs by positively interacting towards resolutions.
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal to no supervision or support.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends when a project dictates a need.
  • Must comply with all CFI policies and procedures.
  • Must represent CFI in a professional manner through appearance, dress and professional behavior at all times, as dictated in the Team Member’s Handbook.
  • Must work diligently to gain knowledge and experience to execute their role to its full potential.
  • Other duties as assigned by Corporate Facilities leadership.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum High School diploma, Bachelors or Associate’s in a maintenance related field preferred.
  • Electrician technical training and/or certification preferred.
  • 2 year in Engineering/Maintenance/Electrical operations in a resort/commercial environment preferred.

Language Skills

  • Must communicate effectively with immediate supervisors and resort leadership.
  • Written and verbal communication in English is expected.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must have valid Driver’s License and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report
