SUMMARY

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the sales floor and all surrounding public areas while providing efficient and courteous service to patrons by performing the following duties in addition to assisting and working with children in an inclusive, developmentally appropriate environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes, but not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greet arriving guests with a genuine hospitable welcome and a smile
  • Maintain a fully stocked food area with all essential products needed
  • Keep accurate inventory of stock needed on a daily/weekly basis
  • Receive and update inventory as orders arrive
  • Forward all invoices to department manager as soon as inventory is received and verified
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Service all occupied tables – notice empty cups, empty plates, trash, etc. Refill or throw away, as requested
  • Maintain cleanliness of sales floor and lobby area
  • Work as a team and assist reps and managers at all times
  • Assist Sales when needed – stay with family at Owner Referral, show a family the model, stay with family in Deeding, sit a family down, run deals to Deeding etc.
  • Wipe down all tables, straighten chairs and remove trash from tables once a rep takes family on property tour and/or if needed
  • Maintain all floors and clean up spills as needed
  • Remove all trash from tables, sales floor, as needed and throw in trash
  • Complete opening/running/closing duties as assigned
  • Conform to department training standards
  • Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all team members
  • Maintain a professional appearance
  • Ensure that all balloon strings are cut off of tables (bottom)
  • Communicate directly and effectively with various departments such as In-House, Dayline, Marketing, Contracts, Deeding, Tour Desk, Front desk and VOA
  • Continuous training with Team Members
  • Assist other sales departments as needed
  • Assist Team Members with timecards, vacation requests, etc
  • Process and execute coaching or disciplinary action
  • To assist and work with children in an inclusive, developmentally appropriate environment
  • Follow Daily Schedule
  • Develop and implement appropriate activities for children
  • Supervise children at all times for safety and health concerns
  • Arrange and maintain classroom environment
  • Maintain required materials and equipment in Club. Notify Kids Club Manager of items that should be repaired and/or replaced
  • Actively participate in staff meeting, as required
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, as required
  • Share knowledge from training opportunities with other staff members
  • Serve as a role model for other staff members, as well as children
  • Work as a team member towards establishing goals
  • Immediately notify security and ensure incident reports are filled out completely and accurately should an accident/injury occur including a registered child. Provide a signed copy to the Kids Club Manager
  • Inform the Kids Club Manager of any changes and/or challenges that involve the operation of the Club
  • Maintain order amongst all children
  • Keep accurate account of all registered children
  • Escort all children to restroom upon request
  • Supervise the children’s snacks and refreshments
  • Maintain food stations in accordance with all Health Department codes
  • Maintain sanitary toys, games and play areas
  • Ensure all children are checked out according to set standards (photo ID of parent/guardian, etc.)
  • Ensure that the Kids Club is opened on time and/or closed properly at each end of each day
  • Follow opening and closing procedures set forth
  • Perform any other duties assigned, as required

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises Host/Hostess (Service) and Kids Club team members.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training team members, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints and resolving problems.  To develop and maintain structures for internal communication within both the company and department.  Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company's plans and vision. Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years guest relations experience and/or training

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must successfully attend Company Mandatory Training programs, Alcohol awareness training and the Host/ Hostess training program. Must be certified in CPR and First Aid
