  • Full-time, Ongoing position at Academic Level C.
  • Campbelltown campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • $150,081 – $172,392 per annum + 17% Super.

Deliver high-quality teaching and research in human anatomy or physiology at a leading Medical Sciences discipline.

The Opportunity
You will contribute to teaching, research and academic leadership within the Medical Sciences discipline group. You will design and deliver engaging teaching into the Bachelor of Medical Sciences, using a range of pedagogical approaches and learning environments to support undergraduate and postgraduate students. This includes curriculum development, assessment design and subject coordination with a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement.

You will support student success through academic guidance, inclusive teaching practices and initiatives that enhance learning outcomes and employability. You will also contribute to scholarly activity and research aligned to Medical Sciences, undertaking projects independently and collaboratively, and contributing to grant applications and research outputs.

Bachelor of Medical Science | Western Sydney University

The discipline group undertakes research across areas including neurodegeneration, infectious diseases, cancer, drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, medical microbiology and pain. You will contribute to this diverse research portfolio and collaborate across disciplines, government, industry and international partners. Research is supported by advanced facilities including NMR imaging and spectroscopy, high-resolution mass spectrometry, bio-imaging microscopy, genome sequencing and anatomy laboratories.

Medical Science | Western Sydney University

You will engage with colleagues across the School and Faculty, contribute to committees and mentoring, and supervise higher degree research candidates to support the next generation of academics.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
  • Lead and contribute to curriculum development and subject coordination activities.
  • Produce research outputs that contribute to disciplinary knowledge and impact.
  • Contribute to competitive research funding applications and collaborative research projects.
  • Support student progression, supervision and positive learning outcomes.

About You

  • PhD in Human Anatomy and/or Physiology.
  • Demonstrated track record of high-quality research with emerging research leadership capability.
  • Experience in teaching, curriculum design and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Ability to support and engage students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to inclusive education practices.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships with academic, industry and professional partners.
