  • Salary: $97,693 – $104,713 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

The Opportunity
The Learning Hub Senior Librarian is a key role within the Library’s Student Skills and Engagement portfolio, supporting students to succeed through high-quality, accessible enquiry and learning services. Working within the Learning Hub, you will contribute to a consistent and welcoming library experience across campuses and service channels.

In this role, you will deliver frontline learning support through face-to-face, chat, phone and online services, responding to a wide range of student enquiries. You will work closely with the Learning Hub Coordinator to ensure services are aligned, responsive and continuously improving, with a strong focus on equity, inclusion and student engagement.

You will also play an important leadership role by supervising and guiding Learning Hub Librarians and casual staff, coordinating rosters, and contributing to service evaluation. This position works flexibly across campuses and requires regular onsite presence to support the operational needs of the Library Learning Hub.

  • Delivering high-quality, student-centred enquiry services across multiple channels.
  • Coordinating and maintaining effective rosters to support Learning Hub operations.
  • Supervising and supporting Learning Hub Librarians to foster consistent service delivery.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement through service evaluation and feedback.
  • Supporting a positive, inclusive and respectful library environment.

About You

  • A relevant degree in library or information services, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering learning or enquiry services in an academic or library setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Confidence using digital tools, library systems and learning platforms.
  • A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusive service delivery.
