- Salary: Academic Level C $60,032 - $68,957 per annum (pro-rata rates), plus 17% superannuation and leave loading

The Opportunity
Western Sydney University is seeking a Senior Lecturer in Medicine (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) to join the School of Medicine at Blacktown Clinical School on a part-time, fixed-term basis. The role contributes to teaching, research and academic service, with a strong commitment to the education of future medical practitioners.
You will design and deliver high-quality learning experiences across undergraduate and postgraduate medicine programs, including assessment, feedback and curriculum development. The role supports student progression and employability and contributes to academic quality assurance and course administration as required.
In addition to academic responsibilities, the appointee will contribute to the delivery of healthcare at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital. This includes clinical and administrative responsibilities within the Department of Medicine, as directed by the Professor of Medicine. You will work closely with clinical and academic colleagues to support integrated teaching, research and clinical practice and contribute to the discipline of medicine locally and internationally.

- Engaging in research and scholarly activity aligned to the discipline
- Contributing to clinical service and departmental responsibilities at partner hospitals

About You
- You will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline and demonstrate a strong commitment to medical education.
- Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Medical Board of Australia is essential for this role.
- Your background includes specialist training and consultant-level experience in Gastroenterology and/or Hepatology.
- You must be eligible to hold a clinical appointment at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital.
- You will bring demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
