  • Kingswood (Penrith) campus, with flexible working arrangements
  • Salary: $107,053 – $115,469 plus 17% Super & Leave Loading


Support staff to deliver engaging, accessible and high-quality digital learning experiences.

The Opportunity
The Digital Learning Officer supports Western Sydney University’s commitment to student success through high-quality digital learning. Working collaboratively with academic and professional staff, this role contributes to the effective use of learning technologies and the implementation of initiatives that build digital capability across teaching teams.

You will provide practical support and advice on the use of the University’s learning management system and supported digital tools, ensuring digital learning environments align with institutional standards and good practice. The role contributes to the design, development and maintenance of digital learning resources that are accessible, consistent and scalable.

As part of the Learning and Teaching portfolio, you will work with a range of stakeholders across the University to support professional learning activities, contribute to digital learning projects and assist in the delivery of strategic initiatives that enhance technology‑enabled teaching and learning.

What Success Looks Like

  • Providing timely, high-quality support to staff using learning technologies and digital tools
  • Supporting the application of digital learning standards across LMS sites and learning environments
  • Designing and supporting professional learning activities that build staff digital capability
  • Contributing to digital learning projects, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • Qualifications and/or substantial experience in digital education, instructional design or educational technology
  • Demonstrated experience supporting online, blended and technology‑enhanced learning environments
  • Strong digital literacy with the ability to provide guidance and first‑level troubleshooting
  • Well‑developed communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi‑disciplinary team
