  • Full-time, Ongoing position at HEW Level 9.
  • Parramatta South campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $137,681 – $147,032 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading. 

Lead the University’s most sensitive and high-risk misconduct and integrity matters.

The Opportunity
The Complex Case Manager plays a senior leadership role within the Conduct and Investigations Office, responsible for the University’s most serious and complex complaint and misconduct matters. This includes public and protected disclosures, research integrity, ICAC and Ombudsman matters, and sensitive cases such as gendered violence and sexual misconduct.

You will lead the design and implementation of university-wide misconduct and complaint frameworks, ensuring alignment with legislative obligations, institutional values, and sector best practice. Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide strategic advice on emerging risks, systemic issues, and organisational responses.

The role also leads a team of case managers and contributes to enterprise-wide capability building, policy development, and risk mitigation. This position requires sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate confidently in high-stakes environments with significant reputational and regulatory impact.

  • University-wide misconduct and complaint frameworks are consistent, compliant and effective.
  • Complex and sensitive cases are managed objectively, fairly and within required timeframes.
  • Senior leaders receive clear, timely and strategic advice on integrity and risk matters.
  • Policies and procedures are current, fit-for-purpose and aligned with legislative requirements.
  • Case management staff are supported through strong leadership and capability development.

About You

  • Extensive experience managing complex investigations and complaints in large organisations.
  • Expert knowledge of procedural fairness and relevant NSW legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead sensitive, high-risk matters with integrity and sound judgment.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience coaching and managing specialist teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
