Job Description
Role Overview
Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting test equipment such as Testcell, Tester, Bagger, VDCS, and Conveyor systems to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production. The role includes resolving equipment and yield issues, investigating quality incidents, supporting product conversions, monitoring equipment performance, and driving improvement projects. It also involves providing technical training, following maintenance procedures, assisting engineers, ensuring ISO compliance, and adhering to all safety and cleanroom requirements.
Additionally, this role supports data collection, analysis, and project coordination activities to enable data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Set up and troubleshoot major downtime issues for test equipment, including Testcell, Tester, Bagger, VDCS, and Conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Testcell yield issues to maintain product quality and throughput.
- Conduct investigations for quality incidents related to test equipment and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Perform product conversions on test equipment to support various production requirements.
- Perform equipment checklists in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Process Monitoring & Data Analysis
- Monitor key process input variables (KPIVs) using tools such as the KPOV database, OEE tracking, Maintenance Logs, and the Digital Preventive Maintenance system.
- Collect, consolidate, and validate equipment and process data from multiple sources (databases, MES, spreadsheets) to support engineering analysis.
- Perform basic data analysis using Excel, Python, or equivalent tools — including trend analysis, Pareto charts, control charts, and failure frequency summaries.
- Build and maintain data tracking templates, dashboards, or reports to visualize equipment performance metrics (OEE, MTBF, MTTR, yield loss trends).
- Identify recurring failure patterns through data review and escalate findings with supporting data to the responsible engineer.
- Prepare clear and accurate data summaries, reports, and presentation slides for shift reviews, weekly meetings, and management updates.
Project Support & Continuous Improvement
- Drive and support equipment upgrade and continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Assist engineers in executing improvement projects by owning assigned tasks, tracking action items, and following up on completion status.
- Maintain project documentation including action logs, timeline trackers, meeting minutes, and change records.
- Support trials, experiments, and equipment qualifications by coordinating data collection plans and ensuring proper documentation of results.
- Coordinate cross-functional follow-ups between production, quality, and engineering teams on assigned project deliverables.
- Contribute to FMEA updates, control plan revisions, and SOP/work instruction changes arising from improvement projects.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Act as an upskilling trainer for test equipment, providing technical training and guidance to team members.
- Document and standardize troubleshooting knowledge into reference guides, one-point lessons (OPL), or training materials for team use.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and documentation practices.
- Adhere strictly to all safety rules and cleanroom protocols.
- Assist engineers with daily tasks and contribute to special projects as required.
