Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Responsibilities

Position Summary

  • To work as group leader to assist procurement manager on procurement operation and processes execution to meet business goals, or take charge of a local commodity strategic sourcing responsibilities when conducting normal tactical purchasing operations.
  • Perform professional execution to achieve procurement objectives. To acquire goods and service efficiently and effectively for internal and external customers with best combination of purchase and achieve the punctual availability as per internal control and requirements, while providing flexibility in response to market changes and assuring the most favorable terms to the company

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for BTS (Build to Specification) spares and service commodity sourcing for multiple sites and multiple functions, including supplier development & selection, RFx, contract negotiation and management, supplier performance management and relationship maintenance, etc.
  • Develop and execute category sourcing strategy to achieve the business objectives, key results and acquire of quality goods and services with competitive prices, continuously optimize purchasing cost, follow and optimize processes for performing professional execution, achieve all procurement objectives & KPIs’ targets, and ensure operation meet business requirements.
  • Provide value engineering and value-added sourcing activities to internal customers, coordinate quality solution with closure through teamwork, communicate with internal customers to provide best solutions.
  • Perform supplier source development and selection, execute dual multiple sources and localization strategy, RFx processes and negotiation, contract negotiation & management.
  • Follow and optimize processes to perform professional execution to continuously drive cost down, achieve procurement objectives & KPIs’ targets and ensure operation meet business requirements.
  • Work with procurement leaders to manage supplier relationship and overall performance, assess and mitigate supply risk, take lead to conduct SPR periodically for constant improvement.
  • Provide sourcing training, guidance and coaching to junior buyer as a mentor, and ensure procurement operation process is understood and followed within team.
  • Play team leader role in project plan, execution and tracking, handle critical commodities and lead special projects to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor industry market intelligence and make awareness of the trend and current practice
  • Ensure the compliance to the relevant IMS / BCMS control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 22301.
  • Follow and guide the organization team, the supplier, to comply with the company rules and regulations which is inclusive but not limit to RBA requirement, Ethics and Compliance requirement, Trade Compliance, IMS & BCMS Compliance.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering is preferred
  • 6+ years working experience and 5+ years in procurement and commodity sourcing, more than 3 years of machining/ manufacturing parts or equipment procurement experience preferred

SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of business principles such as purchasing, materials logistics management, business and contract law, finance and accounting, commodity technical & management and industry market
  • Very good leadership and capability as a senior commodity manager
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Thai, good command of oral and written English
  • Strong in problem solving, strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, process and teamwork oriented. Motivated to work effectively and independently
  • Good analytical skills and presentation skills
  • Professional on Microsoft Office (Power point, Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems
  • Good project management skills
  • Open to new technology and tools, like AI, etc.
