Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with local, customer, and obligations regulations, develop and implement safety and environmental policies, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within organizations.
  • Developing, Implementing, and maintaining an Integrated Management system ( ISO45001, ISO14001, RBA, and PSM ) compliance and maintaining EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance and industry standards.
  • Overseeing environmental sustainability initiatives, such as waste management, pollution prevention, and sustainability efforts, is crucial to minimizing the organization's environmental impact.
  • Provide EHS training and education to employees and management to enhance awareness and understanding of EHS policies and procedures.
  • Regular EHS audits and inspections are conducted to ensure compliance and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
  • EHS Managers work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, engineering, and human resources, to integrate EHS practices into daily operations.
  • Manage the EHS budget, identifying cost-effective solutions for EHS initiatives and equipment purchases.
  • Developing organizational skills and managing multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines requires excellent organizational skills, ensuring that all aspects of EHS management are addressed promptly.
  • Ensure periodicity audit schedule plan is provided and reviewed to meet regulatory requirements for ISO14001, ISO45001, RBA, PSM, and other standard requirements.
  • Efficiently and effectively solve problems and possess expertise in identifying issues and implementing practical solutions
  • Staying current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes is vital to keep EHS programs current and effective
  • Authority         
  • In order for the incumbent to deliver the expected outcome, the incumbent is authorized to perform the following:
  • Manage or command in case of a crisis situation on behalf of ERT/Incident commander (If order) related with employee life and safety per emergency response plan and business continuity plan (BCP)
  • Approver of the action response from employee feedback (e-Voice Out) via e-Voice Out system.
  • Review and approve the contractor permit to work via e-PTW system.
  • Stop work issue where concerns regarding the potentially a significant risk.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering
  • A minimum of working experience  8 years, and A minimum of 2 years in management position in multinational manufacturing company.

PREFERRED:

  • Hold a Professional Safety Officer certificate
  • EHS experience across some of the Southeast Asian counties would be highly regarded.
  • Lead Auditor (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, RBA, PSM and ISO22301
  • Knowledgeable of local EHS laws, RBA & regulations, and Sustainability
  • Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoints, Power BI, etc )
  • Hazardous substance controller.
  • GHG calculation per ISO14064-1
  • Environmental controller per DIW requirement.

SKILLS:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong listening, communication, interpersonal, and relational skills are required to develop good relationships within the team.
  • Self-motivated, multitasker, and collaborative team player.
