Job Description

Summary of the Role:

As a Technician IV, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance, you will be responsible for taking ownership of equipment maintenance operations, leading equipment sustaining activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimize downtime, and support the achievement of manufacturing excellence objectives. This role requires a resilient and proactive professional who can work independently, make sound decisions under pressure, and mentor junior technicians while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:

  • Support daily sustaining activities for manufacturing equipment to ensure high equipment uptime, optimal performance, and reliability across production lines.
  • Monitor and drive continuous improvement on KPIs such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Mean Time Between Failures, Mean Time To Repair, unscheduled downtime, and preventive maintenance effectiveness.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance according to established PM schedules Conduct comprehensive maintenance checks and services on all production equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using analytical problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
  • Document all preventive maintenance activities on PM checklists, record relevant data, and maintain completed checklist history in the tool maintenance system.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production machinery to identify potential issues before they impact operations.
  • Collaborate in a problem-solving session and provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and cleanroom discipline during all maintenance activities.
  • Communicate technical information effectively across functions including Production, Process, Yield, and Quality teams.
  • Maintain organized and transparent documentation of routine preventive maintenance and unscheduled failure details in system databases.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Computer Technology, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology or a related field of study.
  • Atleast 5 years of hands-on experience manufacturing equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, or equipment sustenance.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control systems.
  • Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
  • Industry exposure in Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.

Skills and Competency Requirements:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings.
  • Ability to analyze problems systematically and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to identify root causes and implement continuous improvements.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to maintain quality standards and deliver consistent results.
  • Ability to organize tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
