Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Firmware Test Development Engineering Intern to join our team in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. This internship offers hands-on experience in embedded systems development and firmware programming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing, testing, and debugging firmware for embedded systems and microcontrollers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and optimize existing code
- Contribute to documentation of firmware designs and test procedures
- Support version control management, code reviews, and firmware performance analysis
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for project improvements
This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or related field
PREFERRED:
- Strong programming in C/C++, Python, tcl.
- Fast learner. (firmware, systems, tools & tests )
- Exposure to AI concepts such as machine learning or data analytics is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute in a team-oriented environment.
SKILLS
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.
