Job Description

Summary of the Role:

As a Technician III, Manufacturing (ESD), you will be responsible for ensuring ESD compliance in Head Gimbal Assembly (HGA) production by conducting audits, equipment certifications, inspections, and maintenance in accordance with the company standards. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain ESD control systems, resolve compliance issues, and support continuous improvement to ensure product quality and manufacturing reliability.

Key Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:

  • Conduct periodic Electrostatic Discharge compliance and verification checks for Head Gimbal Assembly (HGA) production areas.
  • Perform ESD control setup and ensure proper implementation of ESD protection measures in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify and audit ESD control items to ensure compliance
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of ESD control equipment and monitoring devices.
  • Inspect, test, and document the performance of ESD control systems, including workstations, grounding devices, ionizers, and testing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of ESD inspections, certifications, maintenance activities, and compliance reports.
  • Identify ESD-related issues, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ESD compliance and product quality

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Computer Technology, Industrial Technology, Electrical Technology or a related field of study.
  • Atleast 2 years of hands-on experience in electrical wirings and electrical measuring equipment.
  • Industry exposure in Electronics or Semiconductor Manufacturing setup is highly preferred.

Skills and Competency Requirements:

  •  Understanding of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) principles, control methods, and industry standards to ensure manufacturing compliance.
  • Ability to conduct ESD compliance audits, inspections, and verification checks while accurately identifying non-conformances.
  • Ability to diagnose ESD-related issues, determine root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Proficiency in inspecting, testing, calibrating, and maintaining ESD control equipment, monitoring devices, and related systems.
  • High level of accuracy in performing inspections, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with procedures and quality requirements.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inspection records, certification reports, maintenance logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues, improve ESD processes, and support manufacturing reliability.
