We are a key partner to some of the largest and highest-growth organizations in the world. Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Building the user interface (UI) with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks. This ensures a visually appealing and interactive user experience.
  • Creating the server-side logic using programming languages like Python, Java, or Node.js. This focuses on data processing, business rules, and interaction with databases.
  • Designing and building APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) that facilitate communication between the front-end and back-end components, and potentially external systems.
  • Setting up and managing databases to store and retrieve application data efficiently.
  •  Implementing unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to identify and fix bugs throughout the development process.
  • Deploying the application to a production environment and maintaining its functionality by fixing bugs, adding new features, and ensuring security updates
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as data engineers, business analysts, and decision-makers to understand requirements and deliver insights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Our Early Career program is designed to support individuals beginning their professional career by providing the foundational training through a structured onboarding, mentorship, and development curriculum.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's  degree in Data Science, IT, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Design, develop, and maintain the entire application stack, giving them a deep understanding of how all the pieces work together. This makes them a single point of contact for technical discussions and troubleshooting.
  • Versatility and ability to bridge the gap between front-end and back-end development. This makes them valuable assets in building and maintaining web applications.
  • Their broad knowledge allows them to propose efficient and integrated solutions, considering both user experience and server-side functionality.
  • Work autonomously on projects, minimizing reliance on separate front-end and back-end specialists. This streamlines development and reduces communication overhead.
