<職務内容>

グローバル従業員関係チームの一員として、ウエスタンデジタルの雇用慣行とポリシーの一貫性を確保し、コンプライアンスリスクを低減する役割を担います。地域の人事担当者、HR CoE、コンプライアンス部門、雇用法務チームと密接に連携し、職場における懸念事項の審査・助言・調査を行い、全従業員が公正に扱われるよう支援します。

The Global Employee Relations Team supports Western Digital ensuring consistency and reducing compliance risks in our employment practices and policies worldwide. The ER Team partners closely with the regional people solutions representatives, HR Centers of Excellence, Ethics and Compliance and Employment Law to review, advise, and investigate workplace concerns and ensure Western Digital’s employees are treated fairly.

  • 労働法および会社方針に完全準拠した懲戒処分、カウンセリング、苦情処理、労働紛争、適正手続審査、解雇手続など、従業員関係(ER)業務全般のマネジメント
  • 事業所において全てのER関連事項について、従業員およびマネージャーの主要窓口として、タイムリーなガイダンスとサポートを提供
  • 職場調査の実施・支援、徹底した事実確認の実行、ビジネス判断と従業員対応をサポートする明確でバランスの取れた実行可能な提言の提供
  • 地域の労働組合・労使関係事項におけるHR代表として、部門横断的に連携し労使関係戦略の策定、交渉支援、労働組合との建設的で協力的な関係構築を推進
  • ERポリシーおよび手順に関するガイダンス提供、国内全体での一貫した解釈・適用・コミュニケーションの確保
  • ER関連プロジェクト、イニシアチブ、継続的改善活動の主導または参画により、従業員エクスペリエンスと組織効果の向上を実現
  • ERに焦点を当てたトレーニングプログラムの企画・実施(マネージャー能力開発、ポリシー教育、ER/IR研修など)
  • 懲戒処分通知書、是正措置文書、調査報告書の作成・発行(正確性、明瞭性、法的コンプライアンスの確保)
  • 週次ER/IRレポートの作成、懲戒案件および関連データの追跡、意思決定とトレンド分析をサポートする洞察の提供
  • Manage the full spectrum of Employee Relations (ER) activities, including disciplinary matters, counseling, grievance handling, labor disputes, due process reviews, termination procedures, and other ER processes in full compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all ER-related matters for employees and people managers at the site, providing timely guidance and support.
  • Conduct and support workplace investigations, ensuring thorough fact‐finding and providing clear, balanced, and actionable recommendations to support business decisions and employee outcomes.
  • Act as the lead HR representative for regional union and labor relations matters, partnering cross-functionally to develop labor relations strategies, support negotiations, and promote constructive, collaborative relationships with union partners.
  • Provide guidance on ER policies and procedures, ensuring consistent interpretation, application, and communication across the country.
  • Lead or participate in ER-related projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver ER-focused training programs, including people-manager capability building, policy education, and other ER/IR training sessions.
  • Prepare and issue disciplinary letters, corrective action documents, and investigation reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and legal compliance.
  • Maintain weekly ER/IR reports, track disciplinary cases and related data, and provide insights to support decision-making and trend analysis.

資格

<必須となる経験、資格、スキル> 

  • 人事、法学、または同等分野の学士号以上
  • ER/IR(従業員関係/労使関係)業務経験8年以上
  • 幅広い従業員問題を評価する際の優れた判断力と意思決定能力(公正で一貫性があり、ビジネスと整合した結果の確保)
  • マネージャーのパフォーマンス管理、公平な実践、敬意ある職場行動における能力向上を支援できる卓越したコーチングスキル
  • 苦情処理、職場調査、多様な従業員関係問題(マネージャー・従業員間の対立、パフォーマンス問題、行動上の不正行為、ポリシー違反など)に関する豊富なアドバイザリー経験
  • 高度な分析力と問題解決能力(データ解釈、トレンド特定、情報に基づいた意思決定を導く洞察提供が可能)
  • 組織の全レベルおよび部門横断チームとの強固な関係構築・維持能力
  • 高度な傾聴力と説得力のあるコミュニケーション能力(行動への影響力発揮、説明責任の推進、ポジティブな結果の創出が可能)
  • 労働法に関する確かな知識と、職場シナリオへの実践的適用力
  • 労働組合対応または労使関係の実務経験があれば、尚可
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Law, or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of ER/IR working experience.
  • Demonstrates strong judgment and decision-making skills when assessing a wide range of employee matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and business-aligned outcomes.
  • Exceptional coaching capabilities, with the ability to elevate manager effectiveness in performance management, equitable practices, and respectful workplace behaviors.
  • Extensive experience in grievance management, workplace investigations, and advising on diverse employee relations issues, including manager–employee conflicts, performance concerns, behavioral misconduct, and policy violations.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide insights that guide informed decision-making.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization and across cross-functional teams.
  • Highly effective listener and persuasive communicator, capable of influencing actions, driving accountability, and fostering positive outcomes.
  • Solid knowledge of labor laws and their practical application in workplace scenarios.
  • Experience in union management or labor relations is a plus.
