Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for HDD Teardown FA all customers from China.
- Owning of the mechanical failure analysis process and equipment.
- Documentation of all observations and conclusions through images, teardown analysis and possible cause of failure.
- Discussing the FA findings and communicating the next course of analysis.
- General housekeeping, including maintenance logs and calibration schedule for all lab equipment
- Ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
- Provide effective information on tool or process improvements related to FA.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
• 2-5 years of experience in hard disk drive or related industry
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Hands-on individual who enjoys lab work and performs analysis using high-power microscopes and precision equipment
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Basic knowledge of hard disk drive and head/disk interface
• Familiarity with analytical techniques: Raman, FTIR, SEM, and TOF-SIMS • Familiarity with electrical failure analysis methodology and interpretation of findings
• Data analytical skills
