Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Engineer, Quality Control to join our team in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving quality control processes in our manufacturing facility, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures
  • Conduct statistical analysis of production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations for quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Train and mentor quality control team members on best practices and methodologies
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to management
  • Participate in new product development processes to ensure quality standards are met
  • Conduct regular audits of production processes and supplier quality
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest quality control technologies and methodologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in quality control engineering, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of quality control methodologies, including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
  • Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis techniques
  • Experience with quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in quality control software and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments
