Job Description

  • Who You’ll Work With

    Join our Test Process Optimization and Control (POC) team, where we leverage cutting-edge methodologies and technologies to solve high-value problems in advanced magnetic recording media manufacturing. This is your opportunity to kickstart a career that shapes the future of Smart Manufacturing.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Work with team to define the process gating for efficiency enhancement and work for the solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal process teams to analyze requirements and define algorithm specifications.
  • Develop and test machine learning algorithms and software solutions for media test.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Test equipment & software technical issues.
  • Support team members in Test team and for cross-function projects, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master's or Bachelor's in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering.

Preferred:

  • Basic understanding of image processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, CNN).
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with database applications.
  • Knowledge of data science techniques, including data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization. Proficient in data statistical and visualization tools like JMP and Spotfire.
  • Experience with Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and Java, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code following software design best practices.
  • Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
  • Publication of academic papers or participation in major international data science or computer vision industry conferences is a strong advantage.
  • Contributions to open-source projects, research papers, or university-based ML work.
