ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide engineering support for all manufacturing activities, particularly in tooling and fixture design, maintenance, and enhancement
• Develop concept designs for automation systems, including component handling and workstation layouts
• Design tooling, jigs, and fixtures for product qualification, prototype testing, and production systems
• Conduct tolerance studies, GD&T analysis, and simulations to ensure design accuracy
• Create 2D/3D CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks or similar tools

PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

• Manage engineering projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with company objectives
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for procurement of automation components and equipment
• Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and design reviews to stakeholders

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & PROBLEM-SOLVING:

• Analyze and troubleshoot HSA tooling, fixtures, and equipment to perform corrective actions and meet customer requirements
• Conduct feasibility studies on new product transfers, tooling modifications, and process enhancements
• Optimize workstation layout and process flow to improve efficiency and space utilization
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and systematic problem-solving techniques to enhance automation performance

TRAINING & TECHNICAL SUPPORT:

• Act as the technical resource for new product transfers and tooling/fixture changes
• Provide engineering support on technical training to upskill the technical crew
• Train team members on the correct application of GD&T, tooling design concepts, and process optimization

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline is required. The expected start date for this position is in July 2025
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply or experienced no more than 1 year 

SKILLS:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software for tooling and fixture design
• Strong knowledge in technical, analytical, and mechanical analysis
• Experience with GD&T, simulation, and tolerance study
• Project management experience, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management
• Computer literate, with the ability to analyze and track engineering data

PREFERRED:

• Project Management (PMP, Six Sigma, or equivalent certification is a plus)
• SolidWorks Advanced Training
• Concepts of ISO 9000, 9001, 14001, and OHSAS 18001
• Process flow, DOE (Design of Experiments), and system problem solving
• ESD/Contamination Control Knowledge
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with automation systems, robotic handling, or pick-and-place mechanisms
• Familiarity with industrial standards for safety and manufacturing automation
