Job Description

We are seeking a well-rounded Cloud Admin to join our IT Engineering Services team. In this role, you will assist with daily operational tasks such as deployment and configuration of IaaS services within AWS and GCP, managing IAM permissions, configuration of security policies, and optimizing our cloud environment. Your skills will be used to leverage and promote cloud native solutions and support our engineers to utilize Cloud based services effectively.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Moderate knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows, RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, Linux/Unix distributions), specifically with regards to system builds, configurations, and troubleshooting.
  • Configuring and managing cloud IAM policies with RBAC, SSO.
  • Deployment of Cloud IaaS services such as EC2, S3, Google storage buckets, endpoints.
  • Good understanding of using automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, etc. to deploy and configure cloud native services
  • Good understanding of cloud native services (compute/storage/networking/security).
  • Must have basic programming or scripting skills in at least one language such as Python, Bash, Groovy, etc.
  • Ability to configure monitoring and observability of cloud resources to ensure optimal usage.
  • Good troubleshooting skills related to network and security issues within the cloud
  • Participate in some On-Call support including but not limited to weekends, holidays and after-business hours as required to service the need of the business.
  • This position is based in India but is required to have flexibility to overlap with US business hours to support global customers and attend morning or evening meetings.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of work experience with hands-on technical experience related to system administration.
  • 2+ years supporting cloud administration tasks
  • Solid foundational experience in AWS and GCP is required.
  • Knowledge of Azure is preferred but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of Kubernetes-based architecture and implementation.
  • Some experience using container-based tools such as Docker, AWS ECS/EKS, Rancher, Google GKE, etc.
  • Good experience in implementing security features such as LDAP, ADFS, SSO, SSL, etc.
  • Able to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Able to lead small projects and multi-task while ensuring to meet deliverables and date commitments.
  • Experience writing in at least one programming language to support Infrastructure as a Code
  • Good technical documentation skills
  • Moderate experience using Python or other programing language.
  • Understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (preferred)
  • Achieved basic cloud certifications such as AWS SysOps / GCP Associate Cloud Engineer / Azure Administrator Associate (Higher levels preferred)
