Job Description

As a DevOps Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing automated systems and processes to improve the efficiency of our development and operations teams. You will work closely with software engineers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to enhance our CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure, and ensure smooth deployment and operation of our applications. This position demands a blend of strong technical proficiency in DevOps Tools, Linux Operating Systems, Networking, Storage, Database, HaProxy, VMWare, Ansible and Security. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation Development: Design, develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for deploying infrastructure as code (IaC) for a secure development platform. 
  • Build a scalable automation framework that can be leveraged by different IT teams.
  • Design, build, and maintain a self-service portal based on ServiceNow, integrated with Jira and AWX.
  • UI Development: Develop and maintain user interfaces for system monitoring and management tools, ensuring a user-friendly experience for both technical and non-technical users.
  • Dashboard and Metrics Development: Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations that provide actionable insights into system performance, application health, and operational metrics.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze metrics and logs to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for performance improvements.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, including access controls, encryption, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management.
  • Support and maintain DevSecOps tools infrastructure, including version control systems, using Configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for automation framework, system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, security threats, and best practices in DevSecOps and infrastructure management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience in DevOps, automation, and CI/CD practices. Typically, 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible, AWX, Python and Shell Scripting.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Experience with PowerBI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Strong expertise in Linux operating systems and Automation including security best practices.
  • Experience in UI development using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Preferred knowledge of DevSecOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Codescene, JFrog Artifactory, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
