Job Description

  • Define and lead Advanced Memory Integration Technology Development and/or Pathfinding divisions for continued scaling of performance vs cost
  • The successful candidate will drive all aspects of Advanced Memory Integration engineering for Western Digital’s next generation memory development

Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in any engineering or science disciplines related to semiconductor fabrication
  • At least 10 years of experience in logic and/or memory Integration areas Technology Development and/or Pathfinding divisions of MRAM, DRAM, Nand Flash and/or Logic semiconductor fabrication
  • Experience in (a) program management leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects under ambiguity and constraints (b) defining and aligning on specs (process capabilities/margins vs design needs based on product/reliability specs)
  • Need to understand integrated processes and basic functions and limitations of equipment in all process areas
  • Deep technical understanding of (a) semiconductor process and integration in CMOS and memory fields (b) data analysis of inline/e-test vs EOL, integrated steps and materials characterization techniques (XRD, TXRF, XPS, TEX, SEM, FTIR, e-beam, dark-field and bright-field techniques) (c) semiconductor memory device physics including electrical/probe test
  • Experience in training Sr. integration engineers, valuing company’s culture, to meet TD division goals
  • This role will have a wide span of control with a great degree of visibility, offering a unique opportunity to drive the key Advanced Memory Integration engineering efforts of a novel memory technology having a material market impacts

Preferred

  • Direct experience taking a novel technology from concept to high volume manufacturing highly is preferred
  • Experience working on multi-layer cross-point architectures is preferred

Skills

  • Proven experience in leading/driving working groups, focus/segment teams, and task forces to solve proactive and reactive key integrated technology lynch pins
  • Adaptable and agile with a mindset to drive innovation concurrently with execution
