Job Description

As the Senior Editorial Manager for Internal Communications, you will own the editorial direction and integration strategy for the company’s employee-related channels with a focus on developing and implementing an innovative social-media-style approach. You will be responsible for leading the creation of with unique digital content delivered across the company’s intranet, video channel and employee Instagram account. In this role, you will manage the intranet content team responsible for sourcing, creating, and publishing content aligned with the company’s priorities to inform, inspire, and motivate employees. You will also partner closely with other content teams across Global Corporate Marketing to develop video news content for the employee news channel. You and your extended team will be instrumental in sharing relevant and compelling news and stories impacting the company using a modern approach that provides easy access to relevant information for our global teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead the Intranet Communications team that works with subject-matter experts at all levels and across all geographies and functions to develop, write, and produce feature stories published on the intranet and promoted on TV screens worldwide.
  • Content and Story Development for intranet, news and social media channels: cultivate and develop content and stories from across the company and propose simple, engaging ways to communicate them, e.g., a social media experience.
  • Strategic Communications: Drive a strategic approach across the company’s internal communications channels, ensuring unique content and alignment for key items.
  • Content Strategy: Develop a strategy to leverage and promote compelling content developed by the Global Corporate Marketing organization to internal audiences.
  • Change Management: Use timely, targeted communications that address important/pressing questions related to key organizational changes and transformations.
  • Collaborate: Collaborate across the Global Corporate Marketing, People Solutions, and other functions to deliver intended outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in Internal Communications or relevant experience
  • Demonstrates an inclusive leadership style with an emphasis on results and developing high-performing team members
  • Demonstrated success in developing a modern internal communications strategy and implementing improvements/adjustments at scale
  • Occasionally, pick up a pen and write a story, social copy, video script or other types of content.
  • Track record of influencing and leading strategic initiatives with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong organizing skills and the ability to develop and deliver multiple stories / projects at a time while meeting aggressive deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, while maintaining good judgment and the ability to escalate appropriately.
  • Active listener with the ability to work as a self-starter.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
