In this position, you will be a key member of the product System and Architecture team responsible for delivering best-in-class storage drive for mobile, automotive, and connected-home products.
You will work closely with several R&D teams within ASIC, Hardware, and Firmware, and have substantial impact on the Frontend Architecture of Western Digital’s next generation products.

Responsibilities

• Multidisciplinary work with all teams in a matrix management structure
• Design and implement requirements for complex systems and subsystems
• Determine specs and working parameters for ASIC / FW compatibility
• Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of the overall system
• Identify and resolve product deficiencies
• Analyze new technologies, and drive of design decisions based on both empirical and theoretical data

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical / Computer Engineering
• 7+ years of experience in development of embedded systems
• 5+ years of experience working with high-speed SerDes circuits
• Hands-on experience in Firmware - advantage
• Experience in ASIC design – advantage
• Self-motivated and self-directed
• Ability to achieve results in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
• Work effectively as a team member, both locally and across the organization
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems
• Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English (written and verbal)
• Ability to travel
