Job Description

The Blog Content Manager & Writer at Western Digital’s Flash Division will be responsible for managing and producing engaging blog content that aligns with our brand and marketing objectives. The successful candidate will contribute to building a strong online presence and connecting with a diverse consumer audience through compelling written content. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative mind to get in at the ground level and contribute to the establishment of our in-house content creation and creative studio within a global organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive blog content strategy aligned with marketing goals, ensuring consistent brand messaging.
  • Write high-quality, engaging, and SEO-friendly blog posts covering diverse topics related to consumer electronics, technology trends, and the company's product offerings.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of blog content creation, from ideation and research to editing and publication.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to align blog content with overall marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of blog content using analytics tools, making data-driven decisions to optimize content strategy.
  • Implement SEO best practices to enhance blog post visibility and search engine rankings.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent publication of blog posts.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Blog Content Manager & Writer, preferably in the consumer electronics or technology industry, with a strong portfolio of successful blog posts.

SKILLS:

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging and shareable content for diverse audiences.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and the ability to optimize blog content for search engines.
  • Strong creative thinking abilities to develop unique and compelling blog content that stands out in a competitive market.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and product development.
  • Proficiency in using analytics tools to monitor and analyze the performance of blog content.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple blog content projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
