As a Senior Manager of Financial Data Analytics for a data storage company, you will be responsible for leading and managing the data analytics team. You will oversee all analytics operations to correct discrepancies and ensure quality. You will extract reports from multiple sources (e.g. operations, IT, finance) and build systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights. You will apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance. You will also develop data models for specific business problems and coordinate with IT to ensure that current technology can support the department’s goals. The Senior Manager of Financial Data Analytics will play a crucial role in enhancing revenue reporting, optimizing financial performance, and providing valuable insights for informed decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Strategic Financial Analytics:
  • Drive initiatives to enhance revenue reporting, cost analysis, and financial forecasting.
• Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of analysts and reporting specialists.
  • Collaborate closely with finance and accounting teams to understand reporting requirements and align analytics initiatives with financial objectives.
• Financial Insights and Decision Support:
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for executive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand financial trends, identify risks, and recommend strategies for revenue enhancement.
• Architecture and Scale
  • Ensure systems are in place to automate reporting and ad hoc data requests
  • Build the pipeline and data foundation to be prepared for scale.
• Cross-Collaborate with Other Orgs
  • Interface and collaborate with other data stakeholders such as finance, IT, Business Intelligence, Product Managers, etc.

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within data analytics, preferably in the context of technology or data storage industries.

SKILLS:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on financial data interpretation.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable recommendations for non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial reporting tools and technologies.

PREFERRED:

• Familiarity with data storage technologies and cloud computing is a plus.
