Job Description
Firmware Lead Engineer with 5+ years of Experience on Test development and validation of NAND FLASH storage devices [HDD Opti-NAND]. Will be part of development of test specifications, reviews, test development, failure analysis, debug, test coverage, Characterization and lab infrastructure bring up for customized Western Digital embedded NAND FLASH storage device.
Experience level:- 5 to 8 years
Understanding system specifications, Firmware and memory requirements
Perform NAND flash storage based analysis and verification from product definition and planning through production and release
Understanding on NAND flash system level behaviour characterizations
Participates in cross functional meetings such as with Memory, Firmware and product line teams to develop, test and qualify flash storage products
Knowledge on the PLC process of a product
Provides feedbacks, ideas and innovations on new system features for next generation memory developments
Should be working with counterparts across sites in coordinating on Frameworks, System, Memory, Firmware, ESD tests, Production tests, etc.
Will be handling RCA, CAPA, 8D, process improvements
Understanding of manufacturing operations and product/test engineering flow
Making sure product meets the Quality and Reliability specifications of the product.
Planning, implementing and managing compliance of quality standards.
Ensure the quality plan of the program and be the focal point to all the quality issues.
Performs reviews with all the program members, make analysis of qualification reports in order to update or changes quality standards when necessary
Understand the technical details of all issues and proposed changes to the products
Provide regular updates to the quality management team on all the program activities.
Qualifications
Hands on experience in Python.
Working Knowledge of any NAND product is a plus
Low level firmware/software debug skills and any storage protocols are a plus
The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated, self-directed and ability to work well with people.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and experience in the use of Thermal Chambers and characterization bus analysers, JTAG, emulators and other firmware debugging tools.
