RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Ensure compliance to applicable EHS standards, statutory, regulatory and other relevant requirements.
• Implement, maintain and improve EHS procedures and system.
• Inspects, monitors, investigates and/or recommends corrective action; conducts trends analysis; documents compliance with legal requirement and standards
• Plan and develop EHS awareness or specific EHS requirements training programs to employees.
• Coordinate employee training in emergency response, life safety, industrial hygiene, and fire hazards.
• Serve as advisor to management on EHS related topics. Coordinate and advise on project, management of change in term of EHS related concerns.
• Servicing site Management Review, EHS Committees and various ad-hoc meetings.
• Works closely with site leaders to measure and communicate EHS performance. Monitor trends and champions injury reduction.
• Continuously improve the EHS culture, awareness, and accountability system.
• Direct the organization in management of emergency conditions and containment actions.
• Maintain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Management System Certification.
• To carry out any other instruction made by the employer on any matters pertaining to safety & health at workplace.

Academic Qualification:         

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
2. At least 5-7 years working experience in manufacturing environment.

Experience and Skills Required:

1. Registered Safety and Health officer with Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia with valid Green Book. 
2. Knowledge / Trained in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and BCMS 22301 standards will be an added advantage.
