Job Description

We are looking for experienced recruiter who has worked on both University Recruiting and Professional Recruiting in Japan Market. This position will be 6month – 12months contract to support Talent Acquisition team while current recruiter goes on Maternity Leave. Most important mission for this position is to support installing new Recruiting System and adjust them for Japan Market. A lot of communication will happen in between Japan and H.Q. in the U.S. during this time and this position is expected to move this project forward and successful. On-campus, you’ll be a brand ambassador for Western Digital, aligning the company with strategic partnerships to help us attract a diverse pipeline of talent. To the business, you will be a key partner, understanding hiring needs and identifying a strong slate of candidates for interviews. You will play a key role in promoting our world-class Western Digital brand, developing strong partnerships, and proactively building a pipeline for early career talent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own full life-cycle recruitment for new college graduates across multiple functions, including: building the talent pipeline, screening, on-site interviews, and offers
  • Build and maintain relations with key University partners
  • Implement enterprise-wide university recruiting strategy and marketing approach to attract a diverse pipeline of student talent that aligns to business goals
  • Communicate fearlessly to build trust; you will bring a strong perspective that inspires change and motivates to develop simple solutions to complex problems
  • Collaborate amongst teammates and cross functional teams to meet deadlines and achieve goals
  • Ability to travel domestically, during peak recruiting cycles

Qualifications

  • Advanced Level of English and Fluent Japanese
  • 5+years in Recruitment Position
  • Experience of working in Foreign Affiliated Companies
  • Experience of using Recruiting System Overseas (especially the ones in the U.S.)
  • Understanding of University Recruiting Culture in Japan
  • Client focused individual with outstanding judgment & creative problem-solving skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced ambiguous environment and has the ability to manage changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrates strong project management skills with exceptional organization and attention to detail
