Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL DO

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A senior leader who will drive all aspects of firmware engineering for custom class of embedded FLASH storage devices
  • Define development methodologies, plans, team organization, infrastructure, and quality
  • Collaborate and drive engagement with related engineering functions such as product development core team, ASIC design, Memory system engineering, Memory device engineering, Manufacturing, QA, customer teams etc.
  • Align resourcing according to the organization’s strategic directions, driving clarity and ensuring success for projects.
  • Lead and coach the team to deliver for success, thrive at the leading edge of innovation
  • Recruit, manage and mentor a team of developers that own full technology lifecycle from incubation to production and beyond.
  • Maintain a diverse and inclusive environment that attracts, develops and retain high performers.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and shared vision effectively with executives and engineering teams
  • Strong aptitude and penchant for problem solving, complexity analysis and decision making. 
  • You are comfortable and enjoy working with dynamic and ever evolving environments and able to learn new areas quickly. 
  • Experience with foreseeing program risks and mitigating them. 
  • Balanced technical and business mindset with great attention to detail and an ever positive, can-do attitude. 
  • Demonstrate use of out-of-box thinking for creative solutions to highly sticky problems. 
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors/Masters with minimum 12+ year's experience.
  • At least 12 years direct experience delivering firmware for complex embedded teams at scale.
  • 5+ years of experience as a manager leading high performing engineering teams
  • Exposure in leading large cross functional organizations that collaborate across multiple geographies.
  • Well versed with embedded software development and quality processes, methodologies, tools
  • Experience building and managing high performance engineering teams
  • Adaptable and agile with a mindset to drive innovation concurrently with execution
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills.
  • Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem-solving, and attention to details
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver end to end solutions in FLASH memory or HDD firmware devices highly desired

Preferred 

  • SaFE knowledge and RTE role understanding.
  • Experience with Agile approaches with proven expertise in managing product or service life cycle.  
  • Experience in development across one of the following areas - ASIC/Firmware/Storage
