Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking individual to lead our social media efforts and design for the company editorial blog. Must be creative and organized. The strongest candidate will have experience across all social media platforms including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Youtube, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This candidate needs to have the ability to develop and implement a strategic social media plan, be proactive, detail oriented, and task driven. Candidate has strong multimedia skills for digital design with a social-focus.

Responsibilities

  • Create/Design top-notch multimedia content for a variety of social media channels, with excellent judgement, instincts, and a sharp feel for the social media landscape
  • Shoot, edit, animate, and create graphics for social video content
  • Utilize illustrating, image-making, and photo editing to support editorial and social platforms
  • Partner closely with designers, copywriters, marketers, and producers to plan and execute projects from concept to final upload.
  • Pivot from simple, less-creative projects (requiring strict brand adherence) to out-of-box creative visual explorations.
  • Ability to manage many projects simultaneously to meet close deadlines and realize the organization’s creative goals
  • Design top-notch graphic content based on target audience’s behaviors, persona and archetype
  • A keen understanding/awareness of brand appropriate aesthetic, culture and audience when creating assets
  • Maintain awareness of the latest trends and changes within design, popular culture, and social media.
  • Deliver solid creative on tight schedules and work independently with little direction
  • Ability to evaluate, develop and contribute to the overall design strategy and execution of all creative
  • Collaboration with team in brainstorm sessions and help push creative concepts that resonate with client audience
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced schedule

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • BA in Graphic Design, Studio Arts, Visual Communications or equivalent experience in related field
  • Must have a portfolio of past work to present
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
  • Multi-media skills (image, video, text, sound, motion)
  • Knowledge of social landscape (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Youtube)
  • Experience with Motion Design
  • 3D, Animation a plus
  • Possession of creative flair, conceptual/visual ability, and originality
  • Ability to perform well in a team environment and work independently when appropriate.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Compensation & Benefits Details

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs that can be performed in Colorado.  This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
