Job description

• Provide technical assistance in installation and maintenance of equipment.
• Visit customer site to install and test equipment for proper functioning.
• Perform equipment upgrades as per requirements.
• Analyze equipment malfunctions and failures and accordingly develop corrective actions.
• Develop improvements to enhance equipment reliability and scalability.
• Develop preventive maintenance procedures to reduce equipment failures.
• Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements.
• Work with management to develop equipment specifications for next generation products.
• Work with Specialists to design and develop new equipment.
• Maintain documentations for equipment installation, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for reference purposes.
• Provide 24×7 support for troubleshooting equipment.
• Test and approve new equipment before handing off to production.
• Develop cost-reduction initiatives while still maintaining quality and productivity.
• Provide job assistance and conduct job trainings for employees as needed.
• Act as primary contact for equipment performance related questions and concerns. Provide production support engineering for specific product or group of products after transfer from NPI to HVM
• Total equipment ownership (Yield, FA, quality, test coverage)
• Provide technical guide to subordinates to ensure continuity of product life cycle.
• Interfaces with design, process, test and reliability engineering to solve problems.
• Design and participate in improvement activities, identify root causes on product test failures via big data analysis and implementing solution, including slides preparation.
• Manage Program and Production Checkout, ECO Management, SO Activities, PCN Management, Routing Updates - CAMSTAR

REQUIRED:

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering (ideally Electrical/Electronic).
• Relevant experience in either SSD or HDD industry will be an advantage.
• Hands on experience with Oscilloscope, Digital multimeter, X-ray machine will be an advantage.
• Relevant experience with computer hardware, knowledge on storage interface such as PCIe, SATA and SAS will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding in programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Perl etc will be an added advantage.
