Job Description

o   Responsible to execute requirements of Foreign Trade Policy relevant to STPI/EOU/DTA zone located in India

o   Interface with relevant engineering teams / Procurement / Labs / Facilities / IT / Security etc to develop process and procedures related to Import/Export and customs requirements

o   Guide and provide solutions to business on Import / Export policy requirements to support business deliverables.

o   Execute day to day transactions (i.e. Import, Re-Import, Export, Re-export, De-bonding, Additional Premises Inclusion & Exclusion in IEC, Destruction / Scrapping of goods, Movement of goods within WDIN sites, WFH asset delivery & movement of goods to 3rd party, CHIMS Certificate, IMEI Certificate, Approving Gate Pass, Maintain Activities tracker & Record Retention)

o   Manage Brokers/ CHA, Carriers and monitor in-house team with defined Process and SLA

o   Respond day to day queries from internal business partners, customers, suppliers, STPI, Customs, DGFT and other regulatory on Import/Export

o   Establish clear communication channel and co-ordinate with various Business stakeholder in WD

o   Co-ordination with WD nominated Freight Forwarder and brokers and track the deliverables maintain Pre and Post clearance verification

o   Verification of vendor bills as per agreement and submission to AP & payment follow-up

o   Responsible to go through performance reports, identify opportunities for improvements and root cause and build in preventive actions

o   Ability to manage internal and external Audits along with problem solving skills

o   knowledge in Stores (i.e. Handling of Goods, Movement of Inward & Outward goods, asset verification, asset tagging & delivery to respective business units)

o   Good knowledge in Customs rules and Regulations EXIM policy and procedure

o   Strong Team building capabilities and motivations

o   Able to conduct Cross functional meeting

o   Establish logistics best practice standards and have smooth process flow

Qualifications

Comprehensive understanding of Import/Export operations  

·       Bachelor's Degree in International Trade or any other equivalent expertise

·       Minimum 6 to 8 Years of Import/Export/Logistics

·       General knowledge of Indian customs and trade / Logistics

·       Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively in a fast-paced, changing environment

·       Ability to proactively identify issues and communicate them effectively

·       Commitment to integrity, ethics, and building strong relationships

·       Strong communication skills; including written and verbal skills with the ability to ask questions of anyone

·       Attention to detail and an ability to follow through with tasks

·       Must be flexible in adapting to changing program priorities, deadlines, tasks, and resource limitations.

·       Motivated individual who is a self-starter, a cooperative team player, and who demonstrates a sense of urgency and initiative in determining and completing actions independently

·       Must be willing to share workload and responsibilities cooperatively with other team members to satisfactorily accomplish all program requirements

·       Excellent MS Office programs such as MS Excel, Smart Sheet, Word etc. ability to code is an added advantage
