Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • As a member of the Global Giving and Doing COE, provide insights and contributions towards the global strategy for Western Digital’s corporate citizenship efforts, especially as it relates to Employee Engagement, Product Donations and Communications.
  •  Provide administrative and operational support in executing global virtual and in-person employee volunteer events from inception to completion. This will include liaising with nonprofit partners, volunteer recruitment, event management, and data input.
  • Provide oversight and execution of Western Digital’s product donation program in the U.S.   
  • Support the team to create and distribute monthly communication assets (emails, newsletters etc.) for GG&D to share with cross functional teams.
  • Accurately input data (and when needed) optimize current processes, systems, and tools to track program data related to volunteer & giving engagement, product donations, matching campaigns and other programs.
  • Identify and provide support to nonprofit organizations collaborating with Western Digital for philanthropic initiatives, data collection, and employee engagement events.
  • Respond to internal and external audiences about Western Digital’s philanthropic programs and giving policies.
  • Provide administrative support to the GG&D function, as needed which may include tasks such as initiating purchase orders, processing invoices, managing internal processes for logo use by our nonprofit partners, ordering promotional items, etc.
  • Take on special projects, tasks and additional responsibilities as needed.

Skills: 

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to accurately communicate the company’s philanthropic policies and priorities
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative team player that can execute and balance multiple priorities at once 
  • Ability to quickly adapt in a changing environment

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in corporate philanthropy, events management, or a communications role

  • Experience coordinating projects or programs with attention to detail

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office and other technology tools; knowledge of Benevity Spark platform is a plus

  • Experienced networking and operating within a large and complex organization

Compensation & Benefits Details

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado or remote jobs that can be performed in Colorado.  This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
