Job Description

SUMMARY:

This position is reporting to the Director of Enterprise Risk & Audit Operations and an integral player in building a strong, dynamic global internal audit function. This Senior position will be a member of the Internal Audit Operations team based in our Bangalore, India offices.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Director, the <Manager/Senior/Staff> will assist in leading and executing recurring and improvement projects for the Internal Audit Operations team globally, assisting in Internal Audit function improvement projects, and collaborating with the other Internal Audit pillars – Finance & Operations audit, IT & Cyber audit, Process Automation & Data Analytics, and Consulting & Advisory.

Execution of recurring and improvement projects in the management of internal audit operations across all Pillars globally including:

  • Provide system administration support for the Internal Audit IT systems, including managing access, project setup, dashboard/report development, and other master data maintenance.
  • Develop knowledge of key elements of editing records and creating superuser knowledge individually and as part of the broader Internal Audit, Internal Controls, and ERM function matures with system usage.
  • Assisting the Process Automation & Data analytics team with identifying and developing automation opportunities and leveraging the audit system investments to drive efficiency savings.
  • Assist Internal Audit Operations with monitoring status of projects on the audit plan, personnel scheduling, monitoring and reporting on hours budgets and budget ersus actual, administering the Internal Audit Quality Assessment & Improvement Plan, monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators for function, following up and reporting on audit issues and management action plans, preparing reports on audit findings and other data to key stakeholders, and assisting with creation of Audit Committee materials.
  • Performs functional benchmarking projects on systems and tools as needed.
  • Developing, delivering, and supporting career development and training.
  • Assisting in the maturation of the data analytics function, including working to audit robotic process automations, application controls, and other IT dependent controls in close coordination with the data analytics and IT pillar teams.
  • Assisting with continued development and refinement of strategy, structure, operations, and model for the Internal Audit Operations pillar.
  • Assists on special assignments for Chief Audit Executive or other member of the Internal Audit leadership team as needed.

Qualifications

Required and preferred knowledge and job skills:

  • Work experience: 3+ years of progressive work experience required. Strong preference for some US Public Company Internal Audit experience and background with a large public accounting firm.
  • Certification: CIA or CPA (or equivalent) or CISA professional certification strongly preferred with expectation of base certification shortly upon hire if not already obtained. Preference for additional certifications including CIA, CPA (or equivalent), or PMP.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree with focus on Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Finance required. Preference for a Master’s degree.
  • Internal Audit Project Execution Skills: Knowledge of risk assessment, testing, sampling, review, root cause identification, audit reporting, and consulting skills required. Preference for additional skills in other internal audit pillars.
  • Internal Audit Operations Execution Skills: Outstanding project and time management skills required.
  • Internal Audit Technical Skills: Ability to work with multiple audit systems & tools including wDesk, AuditBoard, data visualization (Tableau, Altreyx) and common Microsoft Office tools (word, powerpoint, and excel). Knowledge of data analytics and automation software a plus. Preference for prior industry knowledge and technical skills in external or internal audit.
  • Internal Audit Soft Skills: Ability to constructively assist with difficult conversations, excellent presentation skills, ability to assist in influencing and managing expectations of stakeholders, coaching and developing team members, relationship building, and business partnering skills required.
  • Language: Excellent verbal and written English language skills required. Secondary written and verbal language skills a plus.
  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel throughout globally up to 25%.
