Tasks to be performed & areas of responsibility

• Define and enhance E2E design flows
• Work with the lead/Manager to create BE-CAD roadmap
• Working with the Western Digital internal customers to define CAD roadmap and ensure successful integration across sites.
• Design automation support to Analog, Layout, Digital and verification teams across multiple projects.

Education requirements/Preference: Bachelor or Master’ Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Tier I college with 5-8 years of relevant experience.

• Proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal)
•  Ability to do resource and schedule management.
• The ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Required Experience:

• 10 Plus years of rich experience in Back-End CAD design flows and good exposure in Front-End CAD.
• Proficiency in one or more of the programming/scripting languages – SKILL, Python, Unix, Perl and TCL.
• Expertise in Virtuoso suite of tools and Analog Design environment (finesim/PrimeSim)
• Experience with support and integration of SPICE simulation and EM/IR tools
• Hands-on experience in defining RC extraction flow (StarRC) setup and developing and customization parasitic extraction decks
• Proficiency in integration and tech setup of ICV LVS with StarRC extraction tool
• Hands-on experience in DRC/LVS debugging
• Should have expertise in working with various mainstream BE EDA tools (Cadence / Mentor/Synopsys…)  
• Knowledge in developing innovative tools for improving productivity / quality / reliability
• Should have experience interacting with various EDA vendors and Validating / Selecting EDA tools.
• Hands-on experience with data management tools like Perforce, DesignSync, and SVN etc.
• Familiarity with Front-End flows including Synthesis, Linting, PnR etc.
• Should be able to create a training session along with Lead across sites while deploying new tools / Utilities
• Expertise in working across organizational boundaries, functions and sites.
• Should possess good communication skills
• Ability to coordinate priorities and initiatives
• Knowledge of the following is a plus point:
  • IBIS modelling
  • SI / PI understanding and simulations.
  • Cadence Pcell development knowledge
  • Familiarity with AI concept and algorithms
  • Familiarity with design verification methodologies
