Job Description

Overview : Leads and manages Inventory Control Team including Inventory Control, Cycle Count and Warehouse MRB Functions for Batu Kawan Factory.

Manages key Inventory metrics including overall inventory accuracy, inventory control governance, Aging and Excess Material Control/Disposition and overall cost reduction initiative associated with inventory management or storage.

Develops Inventory Control strategy to govern material movement and Inventory entitlement in the factory.

Drive Inventory Control digitalization in aligned with IR4 and Automation Process in the factory.

Essential Responsibilities:

·         Inventory Control Process Governance including developing Inventory Control Policy and SOP governs inventory movement and accuracy within factory warehouse, production, scrap operations, external storage and intercompany.

·         Manages Cycle Count and Physical Inventory Planning and Execution in adhered to the internal control process and Sox compliance within Factory and all other related external storage.

·         Investigates physical inventory discrepancies, identifies root causes, and pursue proper adjustment process to ensure alignment between inventory system and physical inventory. Reports on inventory activities and variances , analyzes all proposed inventory adjustments within the system and recommended action to the Site Leadership.

·         Reviews Physical Inventory, Cycle Count and MMRB operation process via FMEA to pursue continuous process efficiency and compliance.

·         Manages Internal and External compliance audit related to Inventory Control.

·         Provides leadership and drive performance management thru  the functional KPIs.

·         Collaborates with Process Control Team  to continually update SOP's to ensure best practices are published and staff training is provided.

·         Works with users to determine adequate Inventory Replenishment and Entitlement control in both business and system processes.

·         Reviews Aging Inventory periodically and pursue timely disposition with Inventory owners based on Warehouse MRB Retention Policy.

·         Champion a culture based on data driven insights and recommendations.

·         Talent development, coach and manage employee work performance in align with department expectation and goal.

·         Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement to increase department efficiency and minimize cost.

·         Working with Human Resource Department closely in handling employee relations issues to ensure correct action addressed on timely manner.

Qualifications

Education:

·         Requires BS/BA degree or equivalent with 5 or more years of related experience.

Experience:

·         Minimum 5 years of experience with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Inventory Control, Material Planning or other Supply Chain related functions.

·         Min 3+ years supervisory or management experience required with demonstrated success building, developing and leading a high performing team.

·         Work experience in manufacturing environment, especially electronic industry, know-how in Warehousing and Logistic process is a plus.

·         Experience with Inventory control governance and Inventory reduction strategy  are essential in this role.

·         Hands-on in Analytic tool or MS application.

 

Required Skills/Competencies:

·         Hands on SAP experience in PP & MM module.

·         Oracle Cloud for Inventory Management experience is a plus.

·         MES (Shopfloor System e.g. Camstar) experience is a plus.

·         People and performance Management know-how.

·         Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

·         Strong communication skills with a demonstrable ability to lead multiple teams/projects in parallel.

·         Strategically focused, impact oriented, highly organized, and adaptable to fast moving /dynamic business environment.

·         Proven developmental and training skills.

Fluent in in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia is required (verbal and written).

 

Hybrid Physical Requirements:

  • Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of daily work hour.
  • Will climb stairs on an occasional basis
  • Will lift, push, or pull up to 15Kg on an occasional basis
  • 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
  • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on an occasional basis
  • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards)
