Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Teardown drive failure analysis on Client and Enterprise products
  • Maintain analytical instruments as assigned in healthy to support Drive Failure Analysis
  • Independent timely provide FA Landscape on Client and Enterprise drive failures. 
  • Collaborate with worldwide community in analyzing, discussing and interpreting assigned analytical technique to ensure reliability of data
  • Collaborate with other functional teams for solutions / CA from NPL through Customer Returns
  • Support and follow WDTH HR rules and regulations 
  • Support and follow Legal requirement (EMS, OHSMS), Regulatory Requirements (Example: RBA, QMS, IMS).
  • Lead in Failure Analysis training for new Technicians / Engineering Operators
  • Be supervisor for Technicians / Engineering Operators in term of Technical issue and job work flow related

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • BS with 7+ years experience in related field e.g. Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Material Science 
  • MS with 6+ years experience in related field e.g. Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Material Science 
  • PhD with 3+ years experience in related field e.g. Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Material Science
  • Previous experience as Failure Analysis engineer, Lab Analyst, and other related experience in Electronics industry or related manufacturing fields.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience in Hard Disk Drive industry is advantage.
  • Experienced in Failure Analysis or analytical instruments (SEM/EDX, AFM, FT-IR, etc.) are more advantageous.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (writing, listening, and speaking)
  • Contamination analysis or HDD failure analysis background is more advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Powerpoint, Excel (especially in pivot function), and Word
