• Developing embedded NAND flash solutions for the Western Digital Technologies, Inc.’s current and future products with a focus on flash storage based systems.
• Performing flash storage based systems design, analysis, integration, and verification from product definition and planning through production and release.
• Developing systems, qualifications, production and application issues by working across functional groups to ensure rapid time to market, high performance and high reliability.
• Serving as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the products move to completion and distribution.
• Working across functional groups (Quality, memory test, firmware) to ensure successful qualification of these products thus ensuring rapid time to market high quality and high performance products.
• Releasing specifications for development centered around the algorithms designed for firmware implementation for NAND flash SSDs.
• Validating these algorithms on the drives post implementation in the firmware by developing scripts and analyzing back-end system traces.
• Planning product for Memory technology transition to transition the NAND flash based SSDs to the next memory node.
• Perform failure analysis related to memory and its system features to ensure smooth delivery of products.
• Test script development for test platform/drive-level testing.

• BS or MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA cumulative.
• Have preferably taken course related to semiconductor physics, logic design, VLSI, computer architecture.
• Good Python programming skills are a plus.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in flash, semiconductor, components, nonvolatile memory industry
