Job Description

Thailand Payroll Leader manages and supports payroll for all Thailand locations. Ensures payroll is processed accurately and timely for approximately 27,000 employees. Responsible for remittance and reconciliation of tax liabilities and other withholding tax in compliance with all Thailand Tax and regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for review and coordination of implementation of new processes and new systems, Ensures administration of payroll policies, procedures and regulations. This position also works closely with Human Resources, manufacturing operations, site controller and Internal Audit teams to ensure all financial controls and reporting are compliant and correct.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Owns the entire payroll process from start to finish, ensuring timely and accurate processing, delivery and reconciliation of all payrolls.
  • Ensures high value customer service to employees.
  • Oversees Thailand teams to prepare weekly, monthly payroll reports (gross payroll, hours worked, overtime, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefits, etc),
  • Reviews and performs all necessary approvals and controls.
  • Oversees and participates in pre- and post-payroll audits to ensure internal audit requirements related to Payroll are met.
  • Manages in the development, implementation and maintenance of all payroll policies, procedures and regulations. Responsible for enhancements to payroll systems and procedures due to changes in Thailand Tax laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversees payroll tax and regulatory reporting, monthly and year end payroll tax reporting.
  • Works with accounting firm to support third party nationals and employees on international assignment regarding taxes.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years relevant payroll experience managing people, and overseeing multi-company payroll operation for a large employee population.
  • Have 10 years of total experience in relevant HR, Payroll, or relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of variety of system applications such as Workday, experience with Microsoft Office, Internal Control Systems and HRIS system knowledge, experience with ADP Payroll platform and PeoplePlus Progress payroll helpful.

SKILLS:

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal communication in English.
  • Demonstrate leadership in building teams, develops strong partnerships, high collaboration with cross-functional departments
  • Experience developing and leading a Payroll function with a focus on process and controls.
  • Experience in developing and enhancing internal process and controls to ensure function is operates effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent Knowledge in Thailand tax and/or tax equalization.
