Senior Information Security Analyst / Architect / Engineer

Job description

Senior Information Security Analyst / Architect / Engineer with extensive knowledge and experience in multiple technical and administrative domains, engaging in architecture and solution development with peer IT organizations and various business partners throughout the enterprise. 

Western Digital’s Information Security organization is seeking a well-rounded security practitioner with balanced technical, process, and communication skills. This position will be responsible for the security assessment of information technology solutions currently deployed or planned for design or deployment.

The candidate will have a broad knowledge of security principles combined with a practical understanding of computing systems across multiple operating systems, data storage, network controls, and fundamental infrastructure typical within large global enterprises.  Because all engagements will require a close partnership with professionals across IT and relevant business functions, this position requires strong interpersonal skills along with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.                      

Required

•      10+ years of Information Security experience

•      Advanced education in technology such as Computer Science or Information Security

·       Expert-level knowledge of Networking, Firewalls, and VPN technologies

·       Excellent interpersonal and professional relationship skills

·       Expert in network security technologies within traditional data centers, third-party co-locations, and private/public cloud environments

·       Information Security Specific Requirements

o   An understanding of formalized organizational/security frameworks, such as ISO/ITIL/NIST/CSF

o   Ability to identify risks within a highly complex environment

o   Experience with handling 3rd party risk assessments

·       Proven ability to author consumable reports of security findings

·       Proven ability to conduct security assessments of internal and external designs and solutions

·       Strong knowledge of security principles in all areas of IT infrastructure and workflows

Also desired

·       DevOps experience using API’s for automation/orchestration

·       Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms

·       Strong knowledge of computer, device, and IoT operating systems

·       Understanding of infrastructure hardening requirements and implementation
