Job Description

Education Requirements/Preference: Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Experience: 6-10 years

Job Role: 

To understand RTL To GDS flow used in Western Digital word wide, develop/evaluate and deploy required tools, complete flow and methodology using automation and tool development. You will grow as the methodology owner of one or multiple parts of the flow and provide complete CAD solution to design team – including anticipating/understanding future need, finding/developing/validating solution, deploying it companywide and providing support for design ramp up through training/documentation. 

You will be responsible for resolving designer’s tool/methodology issues – which they could not resolve. You will be involved in interacting with tool vendors and ensuring correct solution is provided. 

Required Skills:

  • Need to understand basic devices and RTL coding. Candidate must understand overall RTL To GDS flow, with expertise in PnR, Power, STA and IR drop for FinFET processes .
  • Person must be good in aptitude, debugging and automation.
  • Need to understand SW organization and architecture to guide the team for quality software.
  • Ability to provide innovative solutions for methodology
  • Software skill in one of TCL/PERL/PYTHON is required.
  • Knowledge on 7nm or lower nodes flow and methodology is plus
  • Knowledge of AI/ML is plus
