Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform system, sub-system and component level failure analysis on Platform products returned via the RMA process
  • Design, implement, validate and maintain FA tools using best-practice development methodologies
  • Collaborate with other cross functional teams to derive innovative FA test solutions and techniques.
  • Provide FA findings to the cross functional teams in timely manner.
  • Utilize both Windows and Linux based software tools, test environments, structured scripting development methods, and debug techniques to measure efficiency and reliability of problem replication methods leading to root cause.
  • Utilize lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, and power analyzers to examine and failure analyze RMAed Platform products.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • BS in a related technical field or Engineering, MS or Phd preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years technical work experience in either HDD, SSDs, storage arrays or Enterprise systems.
  • Proficient in Linux, Windows OS and Python scripts.

SKILLS:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical skills in area of study
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to evaluate and interpret complex engineering data generated by internal teams or external customers
  • Strong knowledge of the SAS, SATA or NVMe protocols.
